If you have a man if your life and you want to treat him to a celebrity style makeover, one of the best ways to make him more luscious is to get him a Pea coat for Christmas. These coats are worn by top celebrities every day.
It seems like a man in a well-made pea coat can cause women to have a hot flush (which isn’t so bad in this type of weather.) This type of coat is very popular among the celebrities of the younger generation and indie culture. So, not only will you make raise your man's style profile, he will stand out and believe us, comments will fly. A great fitting Peacoat can create a younger trendier look and your man could be compared to the likes of Tom Cruise, Brad Pit and George Clooney.
If you like a man in uniform, unless he's already in the forces, a Peacoat is the next best thing. Traditionally worn by sailors and the forces during World War 2, the peacoat offers it all, style, warmth and a more sophisticated man. Peacoats are traditionally created from thick wool, although others styles can be made from leather or suede. Depending how you want your man to look, decipher the style of coat you may buy. We've seen hundreds of men in and no matter how tall short, big or small they are, this jacket works for everyone, whether you are a skater, businessman, yuppy, hippy, student, military man, this jacket really goes with any style from jeans to dress slacks.
If you wish your man was more suave, sophisticated and stylish, you can not go wrong with a Peacoat. They are classic and timeless and suit every size and shape. Bring the man back with a beautiful coat and bring the twinkle back into your eyes this Christmas.

This past weekend some of the Peacoats UK team had the opportunity to travel to the NEC in Birmingham to view the Clothes Show Live and the results it didn't disappoint.
We were enthralled to see different style of coats, dresses, jackets and tops on offer for the public to view and buy.
Many celebrities were there showing their support of the annual event, including The Risk, Alexandra Burke and cast members of The Only Way Is Essex and Hollyoaks.
There was so much to see and purchase from the various zones and plenty of seasonal fashions displayed on the catwalks. We spent a lot of our time in the Red Carpet Designer Catwalk, checking out what was on offer. This section does exactly what it says on the tin, it showcases the best of what ‘A’ list celebrities might wear during a red carpet appearance and designers takes on the seasonal trends. You can find many of the items on the catwalk in high street stores or on line.Other great areas in the clothes show live included the Diet Coke Image Catwalk, where we watched the hottest sensations and clothing that will keep us warm and looking great this winter. In this area we found high street selections, party ideas, cosy clothes and upmarket outgoing dress wear, to show your sparkle if you have are attending a ball or Christmas party.
If you were making your way to a Christmas party this weekend and have bought a special outfit, all that there is to do next is get a haircut that even the top ‘A’ list celebrities would be envious about. There was a brilliant ‘Stop and Chop’ hairdresser that celebrities would pay money to have cut their own hair. The stylist would give you great looking hair to make you look your best using the best styling tools and products.
So if you are getting ready for a party this weekend, don’t forget your coat, your jacket, dress and shoes make sure you hair is at its best and feel like when you are approaching the party destination, it has a red carpet rolled out for you ready to walk up as you make your entrance. -
Here at Peacoats UK we're always following any coat related news, and this story really stuck out, especially at the beginning of the festive season.
A very kind old man took his suit as well as other items to donate to a charity store, but without realising handed over the goods which had his savings in the coat pocket. Three weeks later the desperate old man contacted the store to tell them that he had left $13,000 in his coat pocket. The store sprung into action and tried to find the precious jacket, they even invited the elderly gentleman's family into the store to help find the jacket. It could not be found, and had possibly been sold.
The family has offered a reward of $1000 for anyone who finds the money and brings it back to the elderly gentleman. There are over $36 million worth of donations made to this projects from 575,000 people, so it could be like finding a needle in a haystack.
Its unfortunate but actually its seems like a common mistake to make, and there are similar stories about people leaving their life savings in their coat pockets.
On the flip side, if you haven't given your coat to charity and wear it on a regular basis, finding the odd tenner in a pocket is a welcome find.
So, the moral of the story? Just make sure you thoroughly check your pockets before you get rid of any old coats and clothing. If the pocket has a hole, you never know what may have slipped into the lining of your coat, but hopefully not your life savings!
Not only might you find some funds, but the strangest things to be found in a coat pocket include sweets, tissues, a cats ear and testicle and a half eaten kebab. Well, I suppose that is what coat pockets are for!

It seems like an old English classic,The Sweeney, is going to be made into a Movie that hits the screens sometime in 2012. But instead of going for the throwback 70’s look, the director and producers have updated it and made it into a present day based film.
The main characters have seemed to throw away their leather jackets and are keener on donning the Pea Coat for the era of which the film is set.
Set in present day England, the movie will be packed with fast cars, lovely looking ladies, fight scenes and of course the fashion of today. The basis of the film is set the same as the original TV series, which is about the lives of policemen from Scotland Yard, but in the new film, a few characters have been changed and added to give it an up to date feel.
With the use of pea coats as a prop on many of the characters, it seems that the production crew have a task into their own hands. Do they hand-make pea coats to custom fit all of the actors that are wearing them, or do they go out and buy from different stores? This all depends on what they are allowed to do, if a certain label or high street manufacturer allows them to wear their coat as a type of advertising, it means more revenue for that store or label.
The film is a British production which adds more light to the film scene in the UK. Trying to beat Hollywood is an impossible contest, but it seems like Asian cinema and European cinema has been able to hold its own producing and making top quality films which equals what is being made in Hollywood. It is time for the British cinema to get a strong hold grip on film and produce quality movies.
What seemed once impossible is now not a problem thanks to The Kings Speech sweeping up at the Oscars taking Best Film and Best Actor along with many other nominations for other categories. -
It seems like Daybreak the ITV show is starting a coat drive to ask people to donate coats for good causes.
It is around this time of year when it starts getting cold, wet and chilly and people are more inclined to need a good winter coat. It's also the time when
many charity organisations and groups start collecting coats from the public and distribute them out in the community to people who may not be
able to afford them and are living on the bread line or are homeless. It seems that a survey that asked the population about warm
coats and 1.2 million over 60 agreed that they are the best type of protection
to keep you warm during the winter months. So ITVs Daybreak are urging people to get into the community spirit and start donating their unwanted and old coats to salvation army’s across the UK.If you do have an old coat that you want to get rid of, before you throw it away,
look up your nearest drop off point and hand it over to the charity. As well as leaving space in your cupboard for newer coats, you’re also doing a lot for the community and
for charity, which always leaves a warm feeling of serenity in your heart. If you don’t have a salvation army near you that you can
donate your old coats to, ASDA will also take on your old unwanted coats and forward them to this fabulous cause. You always see celebrities getting photo’d wearing the newest fashion statement in coats and jackets, but now you’ll catch them dropping off their unwanted coats to help this cause, so even famous people are helping out and giving away their unwanted coats.
Faces behind the campaign include Fashion Guru Gok Wan, girl group The Saturdays and Boy band The Wanted, so go on, get in that wardrobe and get those old coats to your nearest Salvation army.
